Trim Levels (Exterior)
The Grand Highlander Hybrid XLE blends muscular sculpting and flowing lines, giving it an assertive yet graceful silhouette. This distinctive design gets a boost from 18-inch silver-painted wheels and beautifully sculpted LED taillights. You can also take advantage of a power-operated liftgate with jam protection. A hybrid powertrain with an output of 245 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque features in the Hybrid XLE and Hybrid Limited. When properly equipped, these models can tow 3,500 pounds. The Hybrid MAX models feature Toyota's Hybrid MAX powertrain, capable of generating 362 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. This substantial output gives the upper trim levels a 5,000-pound towing capacity.
Performance
The 245-horsepower powertrain teams up with a continuously variable transmission, while the 362-horsepower powertrain pairs with a Direct Shift-6AT six-speed automatic. Both systems improve engine response and efficiency while seamlessly shifting through gears for swift and smooth acceleration.
The Hybrid XLE features a front-wheel drive that delivers exceptional maneuverability for navigating traffic and other tight spaces. This model is available with an all-wheel-drive system, standard in the Hybrid Limited, Hybrid MAX Limited, and Hybrid MAX Platinum, that distributes torque to all four wheels for optimal traction and stability in challenging conditions.
