The 2022 Toyota Sienna comes in the following trim levels: LE, XLE, Woodland Edition, XSE, Limited, and Platinum. It has a remarkably streamlined and smooth appearance for a sport utility vehicle, abandoning the tired old boxy format popular in years past. It bears sharp-looking multi-lamp headlights, a large slitted grille, streamlined body lines, and fog lights tucked into each end of the front bumper. Exterior features include a hands-free system of power-opening doors and a liftgate, and 17-inch wheels.
Engine (Power)
The 2022 Toyota Sienna is a purely hybrid vehicle for the first time. Its extremely efficient engine core comprises a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gas engine paired with two electric motors. They grant a combined horsepower rating of 243 and 176 pound-feet of torque. It comes tied to a two-speed continuously variable transmission.
Performance
The 2022 Toyota Sienna makes the run from zero to 60 in 7.7 seconds and makes the quarter-mile run in 15.8 seconds. It can tow a maximum of 3,500 pounds and has a maximum payload capacity of 1,300 pounds. It has a cargo area totaling 33.5 cubic feet in the rear bay and 101 cubic feet with the seating area. The standard two-wheel-drive system can be replaced with a more responsive all-wheel-drive version. The Woodland Edition trim level comes with that normally optional drivetrain standard. Interior
The 2022 Toyota Sienna comes with super-long-slide captain's chairs in the rear seating area, allowing maximum legroom and comfort for those passengers. Where the vastest majority of sport utility vehicles only come with 12-volt and 120-volt DC and AC outlets, respectively, the 2022 Sienna is equipped with a 1500-watt inverter outlet capable of powering the most demanding of personal devices and tools. Its rear-mounted position makes it ideal for tradespeople who need a solid power supply on a worksite that isn't powered yet, or whose power hookups are limited. Interior features include a driver easy speak capable infotainment system. This system allows the driver to give commands to the system and speak to all of the passengers on board. Other interior features and options include an integrated backup camera, four-zone automatic climate control, wireless smartphone charging, and a telescoping steering wheel with Bluetooth and audio controls. The seat upholstery is available in cloth, leather, and SofTex synthetic leather, which has superior heat dispersion ability compared to natural leather.
Safety Features
This Sienna comes with a set of 10 air bags, a tire pressure monitoring system showing each tire individually, a tire repair kit, enhanced electronic stability control, electronic traction control, child-protector rear door locks, hill-start assistance, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, and an engine immobilizer. Front and rear parking assist is standard on all but the LE trim level.
