The 2021 Toyota Mirai makes finding a trim level that fits your style easy. It's offered in two: the already impressive XLE and next-level Limited. Though the Mirai is a sedan, it takes a lot of inspiration from the coupe, evident especially in its wind-tunnel fastback shape. Each Mirai is equipped with unique LED bar taillights that stretch across the rear. The Limited's 19-inch black alloy wheels create a sporty persona. This top trim level also adds a dual fixed panoramic-view moonroof with a power sunshade to your Mirai.
Engine (Power)
The new Mirai has one powertrain option for the 2021 model year. Each model is equipped with a magnet AC synchronous motor that produces 182 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. This electric motor is fed by a polymer electrolyte fuel cell system that creates 128 kilowatts of energy. The motor is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission and a rear-wheel drivetrain.
Performance
Eco-conscious drivers may love what the 2021 Mirai has to bring to the street. The Mirai's gasoline-less powertrain produces zero emissions and offers an impressive driving range after just a five-minute hydrogen refueling stop. Speaking of fuel, Toyota is offering up to six years of complimentary hydrogen fuel, or up to $15,000. The Mirai's three drive modes allow you to focus on fuel efficiency with ECO Mode or really test the sedan's nimble 50:50 weight ratio and power with Sport Mode. The Mirai's mixture of performance and efficiency makes it an all-around party-pleaser of a car.
Interior
For the most luxurious experience, choose the Limited trim level to enjoy first-class perforated SofTex-trimmed upholstery and heated and ventilated seats. The Limited adds a tri-zone automatic climate control to keep you and your passengers cozy throughout the year. You'll also get eight-way power-adjustable front seats with memory function when you choose the Limited. The Mirai's modern dashboard and center console design can be adorned with satin-silver or copper accents.
