Engine (Power)
The new Mirai has one powertrain option for the 2021 model year. Each model is equipped with a magnet AC synchronous motor that produces 182 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. This electric motor is fed by a polymer electrolyte fuel cell system that creates 128 kilowatts of energy. The motor is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission and a rear-wheel drivetrain.
Performance

The Mirai's gasoline-less powertrain produces zero emissions and offers an impressive driving range after just a five-minute hydrogen refueling stop.
