Each of these trims offers appealing features. Starting at the SR5 trim level, you'll find LED headlights, skid plates, 17-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, and heated power side mirrors. Move up to one of the higher trim levels to have access to additional features such as a Yakima MegaWarrior cargo basket, special badging, and more.
Engine (Power)
All models of the 2021 4Runner get the same 4.0-liter DOHC V-6 engine under the hood. This capable engine delivers up to 270 horsepower and 278 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a five-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with a sequential shift mode.
Performance
While this SUV can perform well on most terrain, it really shines when you take it off-road, especially if you opt for one of the TRD trims. You can get excellent off-roading features like a locking rear differential, a crawl control setting, and a kinetic dynamic suspension system. A TRD enhanced suspension system will make for a smooth ride no matter how rough the terrain, while all models are equipped with hill start assist, active traction control, downhill assist control, and a part-time four-wheel-drive system.
Interior

From the standard 8-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility to the available 15-speaker JBL stereo, you'll enjoy every ride you take in this SUV.
